It’s been one month since many of us left our homes, studios, and workplaces, and took to the streets for the Women’s March. It was a beautifully unifying and uplifting experience to be joined by folks across the country and around the world, standing in solidarity, love and peace. An estimated 3.5-4.5 million people in US and roughly 5 million worldwide stood in support of their sisters, mothers, and friends. No small feat! It’s been incredible to see the outpouring of effort from communities across the country. As many of us have seen on social media, the creative community has been a strong presence in the women’s march movement. Not only has art played a huge role as the visual forefront of the cause (ie- Shepard Fairey‘s iconic ‘We the People’ posters), but artists and designers have been donating their work for fundraising efforts. You can download, donate, and stay activated through sites like The Amplifier Foundation and Women’s March.
