Inauguration Day Party Menu
Today we celebrate hope: hope for real, positive and lasting change for all. In a matter of minutes, some glass ceilings will be shattered. We will finally have our first woman VP, one who is both Black and Indian. We couldn’t be more excited to have this dynamic duo in the White House. It’s about time and we’re here to toast with the nation. Here is what we made in honor of this auspicious day…

Carefully use your stove top or a lighter to burn a sage sprig until it starts to smoke then quickly place the sage on a clean plate and cover it with your drink glass of choice. Leave it for 5 minutes. Place some ice into a cocktail shaker along with the lime juice, gin and a sprig of sage. Shake and strain into the smoked glass. Biden ice cream whoopie Pies
Recipe
* Lemon Ricotta Cookies (we used this recipe from Sally’s Baking Addiction)
* Ice cream of choice (we used berry)
The method is simple: sandwich a scoop or two of ice cream with two cookies and enjoy!
It’s about thyme cava cocktail
Recipe
* 1 ounce of botanical gin (we used the Botanist)
* 1.25 ounces of fresh lemon juice
* 1 ounce of thyme simple syrup (we used this recipe)
* Cava (or prosecco)
* Lemon zest for garnish
Pour gin, lemon juice and thyme simple syrup into a chilled coupe glass and stir. Top with cava and gently stir again. Top with garnish and enjoy!
PS- perhaps try making lemon and thyme soda with the leftover simple syrup? It’s refreshingly divine.
