Jewel Toned Romantic Ranch Wedding

Howdy friends! Today we are #TBT 'ing to Amy and Ryan's romantic ranch wedding to wish them a happy one year anniversary. You'll find their big day was a whole lot of classic romance, some bold geometric glam, and a wee bit of horsing around.Amy and Ryan’s love story includes a spontaneous trip to Paris where they started to fall in love and another trip to Italy where they became engaged. When designing their wedding, we wanted to capture all that romance and beauty for their day. When we discovered Hummingbird Nest Ranch, an intimate European inspired villa with its own olive grove tucked in the canyons of Simi Valley, we knew we found just the place! Amy has a background of riding horses and as an added bonus there was a pasture on site where we were able to bring in a few horses to greet guests upon arrival. We wanted to lean into the natural elements of the space, so for the florals we asked Inessa Nichols Designs to cover the wood dinner tables in long garlands accented with pops of white and moody ox blood for a fresh fall color palette. She also created an incredible asymmetrical floral curtain behind the bride and groom in the ceremony space and adorned the arch leading into the dinner courtyard with blooms and wild greenery. To combine Amy’s love of all things gold and geometric and Ryan’s playful side, we produced an escort card installation that was made up of a gilded grid containing seating cards that held individual lego character hand picked for each guest. Guests enjoyed an espresso bar and berry trifle station and danced into the night under market lights surrounded by clusters of flickering hurricane candles-making the old brick courtyard the perfect intimate space to celebrate their love story!
