Ethereal Spring Modern Macrame Wedding Editorial
This spring shoot at Portland’s art venue Vessel By Eÿn Vas, captured by Maria Lamb, was a collaboration of artists celebrating all things fiber and floral. The design focus for this editorial was a synthesis of romantic flowers combined with textural and elemental materials, styled in a minimalist fashion. The white and airy backdrop of the venue allowed the bold yet earthy color palette to speak volumes. The natural fibers and materials juxtaposed the vibrant spring colors in a playful way. Emily Katz of Modern Macrame created the macrame and fiber art that was infused into the project. Ponderosa & Thyme arranged lush floral installations from local seasonal blooms. The stationery and signage from See Level Design Co. and Ashwood Avenue utilized wood and clay in a modern arc form that mimicked the circles and arcs throughout the rest of the design concept. Elizabeth Dye designed custom bridal apparel in natural fabrics for our bride and bridesmaids while MUAH artist Destiny Taylor gave our models a very natural and dewy look. The jewelry from Seaworthy was simple yet bold, offering a subtle statement in warm metallic golds. The design concept (with its contemporary lines, quality materials and bright pops of heady, romantic flowers) brings spring’s splendor to the forefront.
