In April, we set out with Kerry Jeanne Photography on a tour of stately wedding venues in the greater Dublin area. Powerscourt Estate with its Palladian mansion, formal gardens (that was listed by National Geographic as the third best garden in the world), spectacular views of Sugarloaf Mountain and the Wicklows, diverse attractions available, and it’s proximity to Dublin make it a delightful location for destination weddings in Ireland.
Read MoreThe grand estate of Castello Marchione is set apart from the busy coastal towns by miles of winding olive tree lined roads. The 14th century castle with its timeworn towers, intimate chapel, vaulted ceilings and Roman arches sets a romantically traditional backdrop for weddings large and small. Finding inspiration for the design was effortless. We were influenced by the bucolic, late summer landscape of the Puglian countryside with its naturally dried wildflowers and sun drenched stone.

Our couple is from the south of Italy, only a stone's throw away from this alluring region, renown for its distinctive architecture with white washed limestone walls and conical roof tops (called trulli). This inspiring locale with sun bleached stone, wheat fields and Romanesque structures fed our imaginations and served as the foundation of the aesthetic. Masseria Grieco was the perfect blank canvas to build an organically rich textured and soft toned design around.
